How does CIF define relevance to sport?
CIF defines sport as “all physical activities in which the individual consciously engages for purposes including maintaining and improving health and performance, achieving competitive results, or recreation.” CIF has also established more detailed descriptions of the relevance to sport for various scientific disciplines. Only applications with relevance to sport can be granted funding.
How is your application assessed?
The CIF Scientific Review Panel is evaluating all submitted research grant applications according to specific criteria. The panel consists of twelve members, each with expertise in various research areas. If the panel lacks the necessary expertise for a particular application or if multiple members have conflicts of interest, external reviewers can be hired.
