Public access to information and secrecy regarding applications
Applications submitted to CIF become official documents, under the principle of public access to information. This means that anyone can request access to your application. Before disclosing any application, we always conduct a confidentiality assessment. However, we can only conceal information if supported by the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (2009:400).
Before submitting your application, you should consider whether disclosing any information may affect the possibility of utilising inventions or research results, such as for patents or commercialisation. If you believe that certain information should not be disclosed, or that publication would not be appropriate, do not include that information in your application.
Are you unsure about what information can be included in your application? Please contact your administering organisation for further guidance.
If your application is approved, the Swedish popular science summary will be published along with the name of the main applicant, participating researchers and administering organisation in open project databases, without a confidentiality assessment. Additionally, the final report will also be published in the same manner.
