Conducting ethical research

There are a number of regulations that you are obliged to adhere to when conducting research. Before starting your research, ensure that you obtained all necessary permits and approvals.

When applying for a grant from CIF, you must clearly outline how you plan to address legal requirements and other ethical considerations related to your research.

As a researcher, you have a responsibility to follow good research practice. The research principal, i.e. your administering organisation, holds overall responsibility for ensuring that research activities comply with good research practice.

You and the administering organisation confirm your joint responsibility when you approve the terms and conditions of the CIF grant decision.

We refer to the Swedish Research Council’s guidance on good research practice and ethical research conduct. Read it before you submit your application: The Swedish Research Council´s webpage.
